SC430 barge does nice smokey burnouts, ask the 6 S2k's i took up Yerba Buena/Sycamore canyon the other weekend.

engine very good, suspension confused.

i recommend the SL500(great drive, falls apart), and i never recommend a German car

The original poster was only comparing the straight line acceration between the 2 cars. When it comes to straight line acceleration, you can compare a F-16 to a Geo Metro.

 

if you want off the line acceleration, go buy a mustange cobra for $33k. It will smoke the doors off the s2k off the line, but lose miserably in the twisties, and probably have parts falling off of it 6 months down the road. A comparison of a pure sports car's 0-60 time to a luxo-barge's serves what purpose? none, IMHO...
