I was making the same decision and wished I had gone with the STi.

Do you want speed, power, handling or looks, dropped top and handling?

I say drive the car with the baldest tires, drive real fast in the rain, and keep repeating as you drive like a madman, "Darwin aint got nothing on me".

if the STi was better looking i'd definitely consider it......it's almost a perfect compromise between track and DD.

how about last and relibility?
2000 S2000 owned 1 year
2001 S2000 owned 1 year
2004 Sti owned 2 1/2 years

The Sti didnt have any problems at all. Each S2000 had major issues.

It'll probably feel the same since they're pretty equal in stock form. What you felt is just the power curve of a turbo car, in reality the S is not that much slower than the EVO/STi.

not much slower? lol EVO IV = 12.9 1/4 and 0-60 in 4.5.......come on a full second is MUCH faster. Traps speeds of 107-108mph.......much faster...

I'm not sure about the EVO 9, but the STi and the EVO 8 were only doing low 13s and trapping around 103. I mean they're quicker than the S, but the power curve might make it feel faster than it actually is. My STi felt quicker than my Z06 when it was stock because the power delivery is so smooth on the 'Vette, but in reality the Z will run away from the Z.
