Its all still up in the air as you know but here is my info...

Aftermarket:
VIS Hardtop painted black I Removed the soft top completely but still have it (In working condition)

Enkei RPF1s 17x9 all around cant remember the tire sizes off hand. (Stock suspension so no rubbing)

Ebay headers

Invidia Test Pipe

Megan Racing 3" Cat back

To many engine bay goodies to mention here are some pictures...

I bought an extra set of headlights and cut the high beam out so air passes through

Buy a spec Miata that is already set up. If doing DE/racing is your goal that is what you should start out with vs buying a near OEm car to dump money into.

S2k is plenty fun for the occasional track day too. Only thing on a track like Watkins even the s2k doesn't have enough power.

Don't plan on tracking much.. trying to save money after all which is why I am stepping into a Miata.

I think just the opposite of the glen... There are many elevation changes and weird lines. I think its more about your braking and lines honestly. Miata/s2k/integra drivers have a blast out there... But it really depends on your class...

Sounds about right hahaha

The motor swap wont be for a few years. The extra money I have left over will be going to a 4 door I can drive everyday of the year reliably.

The motor swap will be me spending extra money years later. Unless I find a miata V8 now and just buy that and say fluck the 4 door... my geo prizm winter beater might make it a few more years...

I sold my 2006 S2000 that I had a loan on so I could pay cash for a clean E36M3 - Thought was
1.) buy somthing that fits my 6'3" frame better and I don't have to put a roll bar in to be safe on Track, but still a fun, affordable car to track.
2.) no more car payment pays for track days and expendibles.

lots of money going into parts though bc I didn't buy one already built with refreshed suspension and preventative maintenance. Sort of hard to do that when you only wanted a 4dr 5spd which is 1 in 4,574 imported the country. I was picky and found one within a few hours drive of me. Building a car is fun. Enjoying it and driving it more often than not, is more fun. I've had to miss out some events I should have been at b/c I felt the car wasn't ready. Lesson learned
