Default SHO

Finally took a look at a new SHO last weekend. This one was loaded and MSRP was about $43k. However, there is a ton of equipment on this car. I thought the exterior styling was very good. Not too much to complain about.

Interior is very nice. Seats were comfortable, controls fell to hand nicely. Dash and instruments looked good. Narrow gaps, nice materials. Not as much back seat room as I expected in a car that size. The trunk is huge. A family of 3 could live in it.

Saw today where it will run 12.7 with a tune. That is getting down the road for a car this large. IMHO, that kind of performance combined with the rest of the package makes the price look pretty decent.

Funny, I thought the car looked horrendously huge in person. It took me all of 10 seconds to walk around the car and determine there is no way I would own one. But that is what you get from a 2 ton car built on an SUV platform.

I did like the looks and pricing of the Fusion Sport. I wish they would offer the same or similar drivetrain (AWD ECO-BOOST) in the Fusion, maybe an SVT tuned version? Something with bigger brakes, sportier suspension tuning, slightly more aggressive styling and quicker ratio steering.

Its a big car - I think I'd go with a lux package over a performance package at this size though.

I like the SHO, alot. One of my previous cars was a 93 with a manual transmission, 3.2 swap and Y-pipe. It was actually a really fun car!

Very nice car...The looks are clean, but if I quibbled too much I have a little problem with the greenhouse. The window area is small, a bit reminiscent of the Chrysler 300 greenhouse. The car is also very big. I wish Ford built a car that had the size (and looks) of the European Mondeo. Build quality is very impressive, and the interior is quite striking.

Overall, a very nice job by Ford!

I also think the SHO is VERY nice.
Tons of creature comforts plus a decent powered engine and an AWD?
Only thing I would've loved in that car is a manual transmission.
If they do offer one in the future, I'm all in.

NADA shows invoice for the SHO to be 34. Of course any options are going to raise the price, but 43 is a ridiculous amount to pay for that car.
