I've got the all seasons and they seem to be doing great.

Two days in this car and I'm in love. It's been so long since I've had a car that handles, I probably wouldn't have been able to control myself if I'd gone ahead and bought an S2000. My face hurts from grinning so much. I'm even smiling at the gas pump. I have not been easy on this car, and my first tank showed 30.5 mpg! I've gone from $75 fill ups after less than 300 miles to $40 fill ups at nearly 350 miles. This thing is going to pay for itself.
I'm so happy you are happy with your purchase

That's one of the best feelings ever, when you know you got the right car for YOU.

If I could I would gladly have a Civic SI as a daily driver for winter or when I need more space.

And the engine in the SI is more fun than the one in the RX-8.

You are welcome to your opinion, but it feels gutless to me even after 6k. The other stuff I agree with.
Well the thing is with high reving car you only feel a ''push sensation'' when you actually shift at redline.

It's only when you are just finished shifting into the next upper gear that you will feel torque and power.

But I agree if you just mash the gas from 2000RPMs and wait for something to happen without shifting you won't feel anything.

It's the same thing in the S2000: I remember only feeling power when I shifted from 1st to 2nd at 9000RPMs; as I am shifting I can feel the car slingshot forward. But only when I was shifting at redline.

Yeah, I probably won't be replacing them with the same tires. They are great tires, but I don't need anything that sporty for a daily driver. They're also pretty expensive. We get occasional ice and snow in the winter so I'll probably go with a sporty all-season whenever they wear out. I drive mostly highway so mine are still in great condition after 7,000 miles. Cloverleafs and exit ramps are still a lot of fun with the michelins.
Too bad you're not closer - I'd trade with you...
