Default SLK320 Related Forums

So my "hot piece of ass" and I just bought an SLK320 (almost entirely for her), and I really don't know a thing about it. Can anyone suggetst any good forums for 320 information? Ideally there would be something out there just like S2KI.COM is specific to the S2000.

Sure it's easy to type "SLK forum" in Google, but I was hoping for something more focused.

Cheers.

Benzworld.com if it's still in operation. but don't expect anywhere near the activity that you get on s2ki on any M-B forum.

I like the SLK350 because it remind me of the SLR. It going to be hard to find forum for just that model.

Thanks for the tips. Ours is a 2004 automatic (with the silly tap-shift thing), which although it has nothing on my S2000, is perfect for the woman who doesn't drive nearly has hard as I do.

Although I'm not a huge fan of MB myself, I must admit that the car is pretty quick in acceleration (although horrible with foot to the floor throttle response while you wait for the transmission to downshift), and handles very smooth. I'm also not a huge fan of "luxury" cars, but the interior is well rounded with lots of controls, and it's always nice to have a clock.

If the automatic is the same 7 speed as the SLs, make sure it's set to default to first gear on a startup rather than from 2nd gear. I think it's the S mode. Makes a difference in starting from a stop, but not in the lag when underway.

Also, I misspoke earlier, it's benzworld.org not .com:

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/

And it's organized by model.

The older model SLK came with a 5-speed automatic, and you could set it to W or D mode (if I recall correctly). W (or wet) caused the car to start off on second gear rather then first. But it doesn't help all that much in regards to typical automatic gearbox lag...

The 7G in the newer models is an improvement.

There's also mbworld.org, and a forum dedicated for SLK chat (Which I hardly ever visit so I forgot the name).

www.mbslk.de is a great source of info on the SLK, it is however in german, so translate it with babelfish.altavista.com or google translator.
