Default Snowpocalypse in the S2000

I recently came across this great article about an AP2 owner in D.C. that took his Stewie out for a drive in 30" of snow.

Awesome pictures from one die-hard enthusiast

I'm located in Annapolis which is right outside of D.C. and we got hit with just as much snow, if not more. I wasn't as brave as this owner, my S has stayed in the garage under cover protected from the elements. I simply cannot wait for the weather to warm up!

Very cool!

And for those who read all the way to the end, the answer to his last question is Yes, 10+ more inches tonight around here!

cool but up here we have more than a few year round s2000s

i did until i converted to a time attack car that has clearance issues in rain:>

but the s2k is a great winter car:

1. small cabin and hot engine = heat comes on quickly
2. top down with touque, gloves, and ski goggles is awesome in - 16 C (0 F)
3. drifting!!!

Uhh.. I don't think he's actually in more than a half inch of snow in any of those pictures.

There are some pictures on s2ki of xviper driving his S2k through a couple feet of snow. As in, actually driving through a couple feet of snow, not driving on a mostly clear, plowed road with snowbanks on the side.

I doubt just about ANY car can get through a couple of feet of snow let alone a RWD lightweight s2000

I cant say I've ever had to use chains on the S but once the weekend I bought it and got caught with summer tires and a snowstorm in the mountains so I didn't have a choice.

Winter tires ever since and I've never looked back.

From a couple winters ago up at Mt Hood.

and to show how much snow was up there...our makeshift cooler

Some are lucky enough to have the city plow the roads. Last time we had alot of snow in oklahoma they didnt bother plowing for 2-3 days so a foot or so of snow on the streets..
