Default Sold the S2000 for an STi

Well, I sold the S2000, I really can't believe it. I loved that car but needed something that was fast with just a bit more room. So I got and '04 WRX STi, and what a great car it is. I would say it is nowhere as fun to drive as the S2K was but holys**t is it quick! Just slapped the Invidia turboback on it as well, I am very loyal to that company, they make amazing products, had their catback on my S2K. After I added that, the car now shoots a decent amount of fire at high revs,
I am going to next pick up a K&N intake and probably get my ECU reflashed by Vishnu and I will then be looking at close to 100hp being added and hopefully a low 12sec 1/4 mile. What do you guys have to say about STi's, I am curious to hear.

low 12's?
you better be a fantastic driver, and get tuned for racegas to try and squeeze low 12's out of that vf39 turbo.

i've heard of sti owners with 20g's and greens getting low 12's consistantly.

either way, congrats on the purchase and enjoy.

I agree....low 12's needs to be down a big hill....... high 12's should be possible though.

I traded my street S2000 for an Evo (2.5 years ago) and still like the Evo.... all i ever did was lower the Evo and some Volk wheels. i ran 13.4 @102mph stock with my evo.... wasn't keeping the boost up between shifts though...i should try again sometime....

yeah, low 12's may be a bit optimistic. Cool car regardless and I love that boxster sound.

How does it compare quality wise? Im kinda thinking of doing the same trade.
If you dont mind how much on top of your s2k did you have to put in to buy the sti?

congrats, the STi is a great alternative for the s2k. I would have gotten one myself...but I had to have a convertible.

STI and EVO are cool performance sedans, but too bad they are so ugly to me.

STi is a good car to live with. You can turn on the performance, but you have a decent ride when you just tool around town too.

I understand. I used to think the same thing about the STI, but it has grown on me. But not the EVO. It looks so....economy

The car is great, runs strong. Build qaulity though I think is still with the S. I think that the S just has its bolts tightened a little more, seems like the STi just isn't put together as well in a few ways. I only had to drop a few grand more on top of the S to get the STi. As for the low 12's, this is straight off the vishnu website and yes, assuming I would be an outstanding driver. This is a 370hp kit with no kind of intake and a catted downpipe, i have no cats at all.:

Stage One (v370)

Includes:
Vishnu Reprogrammed ECU
Standard Series 3
