I'm becoming suspicious of the numbers used in this chart. Does anyone know how "reliable" AutomoBear is? The reason I say this is at first the Vette outselling the 350Z struck me as odd. Now I've noticed the RSX seems to have outsold the Mitsubishi Eclipse??? Get the out of here...I don't see how that's possible, I can't walk 25 yards blindfolded without running into at least one Eclipse. Afterall, every 16 year old daddy's girl has just got to have an Eclipse or V6 Mustang. Does anyone know if this may be explained by a shortage of Eclipses from Mitsubishi due to the model changeover?

The Vette has always outsold the 350Z (except for maybe one year) I think. The Vette costs a lot, but there is a huge following and the 350Z has more competition in the $25K-35K segment from the EVO, STi, S2000, RX-8, Mustang etc.. etc..

The $40-$50K segment is owned by the Vette.

S2000 sells more than Miata. Rx8 beats both. Who knew.

I guess you're right, I didn't take into account stiffer competition in the ~$30,000 market segment. It just seems like I see far more 350Zs than Corvettes, I guess this could easily be accounted for by a good chunk of the Corvettes not being daily drivers while most 350Zs are.

a lot of vettes are garage queens (IMO)

As far as Mitsu eclipse, they may have sold a lot a more a few years ago. Lately Mitsu has taken a dive

here's a link --->>Mitsu sales take a dive

Eclipse sales down almost 70% 2004 vs same month 2003 etc..

Total sales for all Mitsu was something like 12,000/month that's like 1/10th of what Nissan is doing now for example.

There are Chevy dealers that will have 50+ vettes on the lot. I don't know about the C6s but when I was looking at C5s one nearby dealer had 10+ Z06s 20+ verts and 20+ coupes in inventory

Sure, but how many different choices are in the SL class?

Four, right?

Yeah but MB doesn't sell more than 2000 units a year of SL55, SL600, and SL65 combined
