I was just looking at the Comptech supercharger, and I noticed this retarded statement:

"Included in the kit is everything you'll need to transform your S2000 into a Boxster killer"

I just thought this was dumb since a stock s2k will rape a boxster without even trying...

 

Don't be so sure. Have you seen the Top Gear comparo? The Boxster is faster in a straight line.

I surely would buy a Boxster if they were priced the same as a S2000 but they're another $10K.

 

At *least*, closer to another 18k when I was comparing new cars.

 

Two facts:

1. Drivers, i/h/e, yadda-yadda-yadda aside. The S2000 *could* beat the old Boxster. It had clear difficulties (namely failure to win) with the old Boxster S.

2. Comptech is a performance car parts company. I'm going to take a wild shot in the dark and say that they aren't going to the same great lenghts on their website as they are with, say, their racing propositions.

Any stories you hear of an S2000 putting raw hurt onto a Boxster were based on a S2K versus a Tiptronic.

The fact that this thread wen this direction just seems silly. If there's anything to ponder upon, it's "How often do the guys at Comptech refresh their part listings?"
