lets settle this once and for all...I got my Boxster S and 5K that says i will smoke any S2000 in a drag race at a local track.
I do not understand why there are so many haters against the Boxster here...
I have had 2 S2000's (AP1 & AP2) and 2 Boxster's (986 & (987S) the new 06 987s will RAPE the other 3 without even trying.

I don't think anyone ever said the S2000 was faster than a Boxster S. But for a long time, the S2000 was faster than the base Boxster, when it had the 2.5L 201hp engine, and even when it had a 227hp 2.7. I think the S2000 and the new 987 are probably more or less even now. But the Boxster S was always at least a half a step quicker than the S2000.

So wait a minute, wait a minute...
We have a 350Z owner coming onto an S2000 board. He respects the S2000, but is unknowledgable about the Porsche Boxter and the S2000 in regards to its performance, and you guys bandwagon him as a troll?
Way to go guys... The elitism on this board ashames me as a fellow S2k owner.

To me, none of his posts were out of line until he had to defend himself until he got called out as a "troll."
