this is the most impressive driving dynamics I have ever experienced in a four door sedan.
It's a coupe (2 door).

I've been seeing one by my workplace and the exterior looks is gradually growing on me. I had an 06 325i, and i can honestly say that the coupe looks better than the sedan body.

i feel the exact same way.....about the IS350.
I dunno, I would def give the 335 a look now if I were buying this second. But its a toss up for me. I would love to have the driver feel but I would hate to lose the luxury feel. In the end, I think I would still buy the IS350 and this is why.

These are dailey driver cars period. Most people sit in them in rush hour traffic. They rarely if ever see a track. If I really wanted a drivers car, I wouldnt take a 335, I would keep my Sti and with the extra money even throw in a 2002 S2000 for a true driving experience.

The 335 comes as a coupe and a sedan. I went out shopping for a four door and that is exactly what I drove.

All three cars are very good. The Lexus is clearly the luxury leader and the BMW the most spartan.

I don't commute and rarely put myself in situations where I sit in traffic. I always want a driver

I have owned a BMW in the past and said I would never pay the premium again, but will eat those words to buy this car. It will also be difficult to stretch my budget to fit it in because 47.7K is a bit more than I planned for, but after driving many cars over the years this is the most impressive driving dynamics I have ever experienced in a four door sedan.
Look into European delivery my friend. I will have my 335i in May. Premium package, Navi, Sport Package, Steptronic, & Paddleshifters for about 43k + tax and license. You'd save 1300 if you went with a manual. You can probably get 1000-1500 over European invoice which. European invoice is about 2900 cheaper than US invoice, plus the MACO & Training fee is already included (which accounts for 480 bucks).

Are you a member of BMWCCA? $500 rebate off a 3 series, $1000 some of the other cars, check out the link.

I really don't get why people think this is ugly ,I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I like its "understated" elegance. Sure beats the hell out of a Camry when your driving it.

I've always had the same difficulty in purchasing a BMW over other brands. The driving dynamics have always been superior but I've never been able to justify the $10-$15k premium, especially if you factor in the reliability and cost of maintenance factors. That's why I ended up with a S2K instead of the Boxster S.

Is the 335 that superior that the price difference is justified?

IMO the 335i exists explicitly to compete with the G35C, although BMW would never say that.
you can have your opinion... but the facts are against you... the entire entry level sports sedan market in the world exists today... because of the BMW 3 series... and the 335i IS the benchmark... the G35 and IS350 were all created to compete with the BMW 3 Series...
