335i ain't got no LSD. Have fun spinning one tire through that turn while the M3 pulls away.
Slight exaggeration, but it's not gonna be as much fun as an M3.

I thought you ordered an RS4?

Anyway, too bad the RS4 isn't still bi-turbo... then I might not have changed my mind.

No kidding. This isn't what I was arguing.
It's modified at least as much as a G35C is, insofaras the body is different (but still derivative), and the style is modified from the sedan. Regarding the powertrain, I never said it was different.
Is it specially modified? As far as BMW's past marketing practices suggest it is specially modified in the stylistic sense, and also in part because it has been given it's own chassis designation. Not huge differences, but differences nonetheless.
Again: No kidding. Although your point about marketing is betrayed by your own statement. Obviously BMW's marketing dept and data felt enough of a change was needed to differentiate the coupe from the sedan this time around, otherwise the coupe wouldn't be it's own more specialised product now. Again, Infiniti tried this and it worked in spades. BMW now wants a piece of the action.

the G35 Coupe was built to compete with the 3 series coupe... just like the G35 Sedan was built to compete with the 3-series sedan... nothings changed... just a new generation... and every new generation of the 3 series has continued to offer great improvements... i think we're just disagreeing on the historical timeline...
