Definitely a good thread. I've been looking to get a newer sports car, and am considering a Vette, 911, or Boxster/Cayman.

Besides the 996 bearing issues, can well maintained Porsche drivetrains be expected to last 200k? Also, can stock brakes & cooling systems hold up to track use?
