I drove a C6 (first gen) and while it is an amazingly capable car, and very well rounded, I left the experience wondering when and where I'd ever be able to drive the car at more then 3/10s of it's ability, outside of a road course.
I've taken turns on public roads in a C6 at more than .3G, and I have accellerated away from a stop or onto an entrance ramp at more than 33% throttle.

I won't drive it 10/10ths on the street, and I can't run 7/10ths for very far or very long without starting to break laws. However, if you look for moments, you can exploit them.

Only reasonable upgrade for an S if you enjoy your S for the right reasons.
If you enjoy your S for the right reasons you might as well get a used F2005 F1 car as it's just as street legal as that widebody Exige GT3 race car.

[QUOTE=Poindexter,May 16 2008, 07:28 AM] Yeah, but that doesn't help.

An NA1 NSX with 4.235 final from the 92 type R and about a 100lb. reduction in weight (less than 3000lb.s). This is the car I plan on getting next. Wish we had the "refresh program" here in the US b/c I could custom order a 91 from the factory after I sent it back...with red interior!

or

An EVOX MR or maybe even old school with an EVO IIX. Seems like evryones friend had one that was modded, but my friend had an 05 with rediculous work done to it totaling about $50,000 w/o the price of the car. It got totaled before he ever got it dyno tuned but even with the smooth tune it would walk 996 turbos all day, until it hit 170mph of course . I've been in some fast cars, but that thing has to be one of the quickest whacthing 60mph go ot 140mph in what felt like 5-10seconds.
