What would replace the S2000 for you?
If you really have $150K for cars, just upgrade your S2K to a $60K-70k roadster or whatever. If you miss your S2K in the future, just trade in the $60K-70K roadster and buy another S2K. It is simple.
If you have to worry about depreciation, money you'd lose by selling and buying a S2K again etc..... maybe you should just invest the money.

I agree to a point. Invest $50k and with the rest- BUY:
1. sequoia.- used- its a truck, you can't really blow an engine.
2. 330i. - 2002 or newer.
3. C6

Eek. Wow. It was a hypothetical scenario to simplify the question. I'm NOT sitting on $150k cash and NOT looking to buy three new cars.
It was more to put in perspective that I wouldn't need the roadster to do anything like drive long distances or carry 6 people... and what range of cars I would have to compliment the roadster...
(And I would never spend that much on cars without making sure there was plenty of money tucked away for things like food, kids, house, etc)
But thanks for the unsolicited investing advice.
