I don't see any roadsters can beat our S2k w/ that price for that kind of performance, so just go for SC , or turbo, something like that............and my choices woulb be.......

1. Infinity FX 35
2. Audi S4
3. S2K w/ SC, or turbo

don't forget, u might still get 10-15k left, save it for the 05 Yamaha R1

If I could afford a car each purpose my garage would look like this...

Daily Driver - Ford Mustang GT/Mini Cooper S
Roadster - Honda S2000/Porsche Boxster S
Sports GT Coupe - BMW M3
Sports Sedan - BMW M5
Sports Car - Porsche 911 Carrera S
Exotic Sports Car - Ferrari F430
JDM Import: Nissan Skyline GTR V-Spec II
Track Car - Lotus Elise
SUV - Land Rover LR3

Of course this is way over the $150K budget.

Maybe a joke for short term investments but pretty consistent if you get an index and hold on for a while...

As for the original question, I am currently looking at bikes as a replacement for my S...probably not what you're looking for as you're married but 99% of the time during my spirited drives, I'm alone so I figure I might as well be paying less for gas and insurance.

$150k for vehicles?

1. GMC Sierra Denali $43k
2. M3 $47k
3. Supercharged S2000 $40kish
4. Hayabusa

1) Slightly used GT3 (seen for 95K)
2) Honda Element (20K)
3) BMW 3 series with sport package (35K)
You can't get a new 3 series with sport package for 35.

I'd get a

05 BMW 330i performance/ZHP package (Almost E36 M3 fast but E46 styling and beautiful interior)

Infiniti FX45

Acura NSX or F355 spyder

I like this one.
Already have #3 covered....

Maybe I won't trade up.

Was thinking if I made the truck more of a luxury SUV, I could get away with not needing functional back seats on the #2 car....

In that case:

1. Lexus GX470 or LR3 (~$48k)
2. Slightly used 911 or C4S (~$60k)
3. S/C S2000 (~$40k)

The Porsche would fit more the GT niche and the Honda remaining as the pure roadster. The C4S with AWD might make that car an even better GT daily driver.

SLK32, the 02-03 are selling in the high 30s to low 40s. Test drove one and was blown away by the acceleration and handling ability.

to replace the s i would consider someday a used 911 cab, glass rear windowed...or a m3 cab, maybe a year or three old, either one.

the money question, well i would get a great 4 door sports sedan, which i already have and a people hauler which i also have, and pocket the rest for maintenance and kids college fund.
