Default Why does Tsuchiya use the ebrake?

This is the race with the Civic Type-R (spoon) and two s2k seeker and J's.

but why does Tsuchiya use the ebrake on turns in the civic type r.

Is this necessary even in fwd cars?

I think it helps the fwd car rotate a bit better.

It breaks the rear wheel traction without throwing the weight of the car onto the front wheels - it helps him rotate the car better since fwd understeers.

Tsuchiya is the man. He does it only because he can.

Even for when a RWD understeers (braking too late) I've seen people use the e-brake for correction. It's just that FWD understeers more often, and Tsuchiya being Tsuchiya, he'll always pushes the limits of the cars he drives.
