Which will age better 350z or 370z?
"Hey guys,
Just a random question that I thought would make for a good friendly topic.
Which do you think would personally age better (looks wise) a 350 or 370z?
When the 300zx's came out I'm sure they were gorgeous. IMHO while I still live every Z I think that the Z31 did not age that well. It has a really square 80s style look to it and it is my least favorite Z. On the other hand the Z32 has seemed to defy time with aging and still looks great afer 20 years.
So my question is which do you think will look better 20 years down the road? The 350 or the 370? Only based on looks/ cosmetics. I really like the curvy lines of the 370 but I wonder how well it would age compared to the 350 and Z32 300zx.
It's nothing serious just always a question/ discussion I wanted to have with some Z guys.
EDIT: Also which would be the better car to keep for a long time?

350z's already look outdated to me with that bloated football shape, you don't nave to consider 20 years down the road. I like the looks of the 370z though.

Agreed, the 350Z looks really bad IMO. The front end is not very attractive and the car as a whole is quite bloated and awkward shaped. IMO the 370Z is considerably nicer. It's obvious the Nissan trade to make it modern looking. It has lines and cuts in the headlights and tail lights making it look more dramatic. The interior is improved overall as well. I think both models will continue to age quickly, but I think the 370 will have a more lasting effect in the looks department

The Z looks dated because theyre somewhat common. I remember when they first came out folks were drooling over their fashion forward design, but just like double chocolate fudge swirl it gets tiresome real quick. I like the 370z but alot of the design elements is just too much, namely the lamps. While the Z will still be seen as fresh for some time, I think the 350's plainer design will withstand the test of time better.
I'm also a fan of the Z32, I could only imagine what the visual impact it mustve been like back in 1989 when these things were rolling out into the streets.

They are both quite bloated-looking. They look like squashed 2seat versions of bigger cars (which they are). Bulbous noses and high cowls, not very "sports car" looking to me. These cars were never attractive designs, and history won't be kind to either of them. IMO...

I wouldn't vote for either one in a beauty contest. Both look fat or bloated. At least the 370Z has a better interior. But there's no arguing the value on a price/performance/reliability basis. And I do have a soft spot for the 370 ragtop in dark cherry with the cherry leather interior. Did they ever fix the brakes?

The 350Z is at a bit of a disadvantage, already a 10 year old design and the 370Z is still in production. I pretty much agree with TheDonEffect and am going with the 350Z, although the interior was bad even when it was brand new will not age well at all.
