Question about boats... Okay my father has agreed to pay for my insurance while i work through college. Yes this is very nice of him, i dont concider that spoiling me. Thus the S is in his name, however every month when the car payment comes to the house, it is me writing the check with my name on it, with money coming out of my bank account which i worked for to pay for it. He pays none of my carpayment, which boat do i fit in

Man, some of you have it really good.
When I was in HS (and afterwards), my folks refused to assist me in any way with a car.
That is: no cosigning, no borrowing, and definitely no "additional driver" on the insurance. The killer was the insurance, which was IIRC, $2400+/year as a new driver. This was in 1984 dollars.
I was also expected to pay for my own college and other incidentals as well.
Needless to say, it was a while before I got a car.
