Have you guys noticed that everyone has been starting to drive really slow now. This poses a problem for me b/c they werent driving fast before. Would it kill people to at least go the speed limit??

Some people don't want to accelerate go like 0-40 in 40 seconds.
This used to be just Prius owners and wasn't so bad, I figured they don't have any power. But now it's V8 Expeditions (etc.) and I know they are trying to get 16-ish MPG so they are driving like mopes.
To recap, back in 99 or 2000 when Explorers were one of the best selling cars, gas was near $1 a gallon. People really didn't care to fill up was $20 or $30. Made no difference and also of course there is no GG tax on Trucks or SUVs so people had no incentive not to buy them.

From a safety standpoint I am delighted b/c whether I am driving my GTI or S2k I will be safer with more sedans and less "light trucks" on the road.
Improved visibility, easier parking (since they invariably try to fit into compact slots), possibly less damage to roadways, and decreased off-roading in natural settings are a few other advantages that come to mind................and what did I forget??????.................... Oh maybe, just maybe we can avoid fighting wars for oil as John McCain stated we have:

I am happy to see people move back to smaller cars. I am also happy that it is the CONSUMER who is making the choice, not fool minded politicians forcing it on us (like the CAFE bullpoop).

[QUOTE]Last week, we told you that a glut of SUVs on used car lots had led to low prices, making this a great time to buy a recent used sport utility or truck, if you have the need.

That's me accelerating from 0-40 in 40 seconds
I also coast... frequently I'll go from 45-5mph without touching the breaks. I get a kick out of the morons who yank around me, stomp on the gas, and then slam on the breaks at the red light up ahead. Seriously, I HATE driving slow but now that I've discovered how fun it is pissing off all the jack rabbits it isn't so bad =D

Not me I bought a Toyota Tundra Crew Max with the 5.7 motor and next month TRD will have their supercharger ready which gives me over 500hp and almost 600 pounds of torque. Now I get 11 or 12 roughly MPG, less next month after the install.
I drive my sons to and from school in it, then surf on good days while they are in school.
I also use it to kill God's creature's so they end up on my grill when I hunt
Get them damn little cars out of my way.
