Wink 2010 ZR1 vs 2010 911 Turbo

It really is an AMAZING read. You honestly dont have any losers here but there can only be one winner. I'm completely in shock.

Porsche/ZR-1

0-60mph- 2.9 sec/3.4 sec

0-100mph- 6.8sec/7.6sec

0-150mph- 16.2sec/16.4sec

5-60mph- 3.4sec/4.0sec

1/4mi- 11.0@128mph/ 11.5@128mph

The specs speak for themselves but these cars appear to be so much more than that personality wise.

The ZR-1 was faster around Laguna and at Mazda Raceway.

Funny that the Chevy is faster on a racetrack and the Porsche is faster in a straight line!

I know right?!!? I can't get over how fast and efficiently the 911 is. 17city 25 highway! Ofcourse they observed 15mpg on their rips.

Yeah, it seems to be really utilizing all the power via traction, tranny/driveline efficiency, etc.

I mean, I'm a big fan of the Corvette, but both keys being offered, take your choice to own? 911 without blinking. Same scenario, plus a check for $37K with the ZR-1? I'd need a few minutes to think about it

I always think of Honda when I see how efficient Porsche can be. I mean you can definitely have your cake and eat it too. Honda can really build a super performance cars that can get over 20mpg. They just don't want to take the time.

AWD is a beautiful thing when it comes to 0-X times. No surprise the 911 won. It is the better of the two cars (and it better be for the price).

I'm confused: they said Porsche added stiffer front and softer rear anti-roll bars to curb understeer. That's the opposite of conventional thinking as a stiffer front roll-car exacerbates understeer. They also added stiffer rear springs which potentially reduces understeer as well but generally, understeer is most simply controlled by going to a softer anti-roll bar.

Then again, a company that puts the motor over the back end is kind of unconventional to start with.

2.9s 0-60!!

WOW. Interesting comparison, I never would have thought to cross-shop these two cars. I guess mags should have been doing this comparison all along as opposed to the GT-R vs ZR-1 comparison. I'm very impressed by the Turbo and the $30k price difference makes it look like a bargain, lol.

I love that these cars are squaring off in comparison tests while the ALMS cars beat the hell out of each other on the track!
