[QUOTE=matthehat17,Dec 21 2006, 11:37 AM] Good work Gad! I featured one of only four RHD B10 V8S Tourings about a year ago in Nottingham, the day after I'd just test driven the new B5 saloon.

The difference between them was not as much as you would think. The V8S has more torque than the M5, which is nice... It was a stunning car, but I know the guy would want almost

Get the dog put down. It's for the best.

My advice would be entirely different if it were a cat, as Pete knows.

@ Alex and PL! All too true!

Lee, that B10 is beautiful but it's a 3.3, which had 280bhp, so I ain't too fussed about it; if I'm having an Alpina, it has to have the big V8!

Gad, the 540 had crossed my mind but any E39 (Touring) without an M badge or Alpina is going to be worth peanuts soon. I suppose I could buy it cheaper in the first place and save my cash...

I just feel the X5 has done all its depreciating and even the arrival of the new one won't harm it too much... although I could be VERY wrong!

The best I could find here is the one for sale with Thames Valley cars... and it's a pre-facelifter with no nav!:

The next 2/3 weeks are the best time of year to buy a car.
Dealers will be very open to deals and private buyers will be desperate especially when their credit card bills turn up in Jan.
