Danny, by the time the car's available you'll have seen 10 different others that you fancy.
Is that all, I predict I will want to put an order in for exactly double that many cars and at least 4 FI kits for my S2k.

[QUOTE=MB,Aug 8 2008, 09:24 AM] I certainly wouldn't - I say this because 8-12 months later they will bring out the "S" version with well over 300 bhp and you will then want that one

But for

Why have a lotus when you can have a GT-R for not a lot more. The lotus pales into comparison for me.
I guess it depends what you look for in a car. The GTR appears extremely impressive but it is so despite its weight and largely because of the technology Nissan have shoehorned into it. The Evora will be more heavily reliant upon the driver's skill (although I guess there will be switchable traction control as standard).

I was dreaming about an Alfa Spyder restoration this morning. Now I don't think that could keep up with a GT-R

Up here, straight line turbo nutjob power is irrelevant steering feel and handling characteristics are far more important. That's not to say the GTR wont handle, it will but without the same connection you get in a Lotus and that's really important to me.

It isn't always about going as fast as you possibly can .

Also I think the Lotus looks more special.

You can't get better for off the line traction (bar 4wd), yet this still couldn't break the 5 second barrier.

Whilst 1350 is certainly not light, it's not 'heavy' either.
the lowest bhp you can get in a 996 is 297, I should know

297 Jamie??

Oh dear, isn't that less than a Boxter S?

It did feel rather pokey when you took me out in it though!

No a Boxster S is less than that. I can't even remember taking you out, my memory must be going

Boxster S is 252, 280 or 295 bhp depending on what year.
