I have to disagree with your post...

he's been caught speeding twice by the same camera.

Reasons being are: 1. He was exceeding the posted speed limit.
2. He was exceeding the posted speed limit.

Caught twice by the same camera? He needs to work on his observational skills whilst he is waiting for his newly acquired points to expire.

Give the guy a break!

I think we all know the request is along the lines of,

"how can I help get my mate out"

rather than,

"my mate was justified in breaking the speed limit".

Why the need for the lectures?

Because

1. He is stupid
2. It is funny for the following reasons:

2.1 It pisses him off
2.2 It pissed you and your ilk off

All valid and very helpful comments above

Chris, ask your mate to check the web site out below.

Worth a read, and may be of some help. When I reached a certain ammount of points for speeding, I invested in a Road Angel, I now only use it on roads that I've not driven before.

Either way, tell him to get protection!

I'd be surprised if one of these was any use but I suppose if he wears a very big one over his head the photo might not be able to identify him

Doesn't matter, these days if you claim that you don't know who was driving you get 3 points and up to
