A scary parody may in fact be able to be drawn from our own magnificent NSX.

An unbelievably talented 'super car' - with the wrong badge.
Imagine if the R8 was made by Honda

I expect a lot of people would be jizzing all over it.

Where conversely the type of person (or the majority) who currently own one would see it fit the image they want.

Amazing what a badge does.
The R8 is pretty much a modern day NSX.

Aluminium construction, you can see out of it/live with it every day, splendid engine and so on. It really shows how advanced Honda once was (and how far it has fallen).

A mate had a low mileage used example in stock, liked the drive and if I'd had the cash I'd have bought it, secondhand(and at trade) I was saving heaps over the 100k new, I could then have also bought a used Aston for the other days when the SWMBO had the Audi keys.

I'd rather spend 100k on a big garage with car lift and a couple of nice old cars
Still hope to own an integral one day and there is a really nice replica of a shelby Daytona
Hand made in aluminium I think the chassis with body is 40k

No re owning an R8. Too tuetonic, all those driver aids. Give me twitchy arse seat of the pants high reviving jap roadster any time

Besides the only folk who own R8s where I live are those that con old grannies out of their life savings and drug dealers/other gangsters & low lives. If thats being successful then they can keep it. Besides where can you actually use a "supercar". Just pointless extravagance in modern day motoring.

Probably in the same places that you can use the S.

Really anything that does over 70 is pointless by your logic.

Thats right. Not many places you can drive fast these days too much traffic, police etc. Tis my logic for

Saw an old chap in a red 430 spider with his son today. Wouldn't mind one of those for the same money. Sounded great when he blipped it for us after giving him the thumbs up Not quite as exotic as NUTs F20C though with zuast mod and AEM
