What seems to have happened is that other drivers now think the car is bigger than it is due to the brighter lights and appear to see me coming - haven't been cut up or pulled out on once since getting them fitted and prior to that, it was a multiple times per day occurrence.
It's actually the projector lens that makes 4300Ks look slightly blue (bit like the curvature of the sky) and 6000Ks are even worse. It's like wearing sunglasses at night.

6000Ks only existed for poseurs, so that their homofocals would suddenly look very xenon indeed.

Also, why does every crappy taxi seem to have 6000K scatter-guns badly-aimed these days?

New rocker cover gasket fitted - no more oil leaks or wheezing. New 286t high level brake light bulbs fitted - now it all lights up.

£63 for 2 lower front arms, 4 ARB bushes, 2 ARB mounts and 2 track rod ends and that, I believe will be that.

No more clunking or weird handling but i'll keep the squishy shocks, no interest in changing those at the moment

Ok a new dilemma:
Client facing, 1600miles/month, All wheel drive, 4 door and large enough to be protective in case of motorway speed accident.Abs & traction control, Budget - under £2k (how much you can get a reasonable 4door skyline for)

I've been thinking an Impreza is the strongest contender. Forester or Legacy are just a little too boring for me.

It can be maintained for a reasonable amount, there's plenty of them so they won't attract undue attention (even with a spoiler) and once it's got correct alignment and some proper tyres on it's good to go.

wifeys cars is the manual 2.5 Turbo (230BHP version)
Its great no one expects a 4x4 to handle and go that well.
It's essentially a jacked up impreza but A LOT less obvious
Oh and much better residuals!

This is what my miles go on...

Was bought as a cheap tow vehicle for lugging my westfield about but I've actually fallen slightly in love with it!

It's slow, noisy, (more so since I put chunkier tyres on it!) but it has been such a faithful car taking all sorts of abuse!..

Not the greatest on fuel but minimal depreciation, only £300ish in maintenance in 30k miles and I won't be getting rid anytime soon!

It's a modern day defender that happens to be reliable
