Chris, if i could i would, might come down on the bike though, 355's in my area are hard to get hold of, the one i want is in no rush to sell, had no use for months and he has no real reason to sell other than upgrade but i am getting him roudn to the idea of moving up quickly.

thought the CRV would be a easier car to sell when the need arose but not.

Never really been a Skyline person myself, but you have to respect the capability they have (and the potential).

Also, they may be cheap to buy, but they don't seem cheap to run (or at least, to run properly) so that should keep the less desirable element away from them to an extent.

They have a certain cool about them thanks to their being a bit of a legend in Japan, and the subsequent idolisation on Gran Turismo - better than another 'me too' Beemer IMO.

From your posts, the Skyline would seem like the ideal car for you, so much potential for messing about under the bonnet.

Go for it I say

Then get it on a track

Cheers Mark.

Its still a tough choice! Everyone is telling me im stupid for thinking of selling the S as everyone loves it. But ive just got back from a 3 hour drive from Cornwall and my ears / back / arse are telling me otherwise

Going to make a decision this week...

There's nothing wrong with a clean R33 GTR, especially in a rare colour. They're super capable cars. What's the servicing like on them though? Fuel consumption I imagine wouldn't be too hot, but I never pay that any mind when I buy a new car.

I think there are a lot of good specialists out there BB, you you end up paying more normal prices due to not having to use a main dealer.

MPG? Im trying not to think about it but I think its a touch worse than my STi

True, and you'd also have less of a worry about some 17 year old oik caning the car from cold with 3 of his mates.

Yup!

Also, I worry about where I park the S because its in top condition. I dont think id be as fussed with a 10 year old car - although its also in great nick. Not sure why, but thats the way im thinking

I have to say, that is the only drawback;

a 10yo is more likely to suffer more silly breakdowns, etc than your 6yo.

(Prespective required - these are pre-Renault Nissans & Honda)

It's one thing that puts me off replacing a younger car with an older one.

Don't mind having an old one for fun, but not for wveryday.
