The best engine sound?

Not sure if that was a Merlin or Griffon engine, but awesome regardless
For me the engine sound that has sent the most tingles up my spine has been the sound of F1 engines starting up for the morning warm up at Silverstone on Grand Prix day.
After queuing from midnight, getting into the circuit & sprinting for the best viewing spot at 5.00 a.m. and then watching the mist slowly rising, hearing those engines starting up in the distance is an unforgettable sound

the spit ix had the merlin 61, 66 or 70.
the spit xiv used the griffon
sound of a merlin, once heard never forgotten.
best engine sound ever for me as well.
but a ducati with termi's aint far behind!
