Default Best "garage door opener"?

Since my Snooper SLD-920 "garage door opener" seems to have short-circuited (blows the fuse immediately it is turned on), I'm wondering what others currently reckon is the best available.
I realise there is uncertainty over their use, and effectiveness, but after over 4-years with one fitted, I guess it's more of a comfort blanket than anything else. Not yet had it go off in anger, but tomorrow will be the day I expect.

They are only illegel if you have not got a garage door that opens with them. If you get caught with one and can't prove that you were using it for a legit purpose you can get done for attempting to pervert the course of justice or similar and may well face an immediate prison sentance.

Ill take my three points thanks very much!

good luck with that mate

If they take you to court for it and you stand up and tell them that at the very least they will expect to see all of your bank statemants and credit card receipts since you purchased the car to prove it.

Ignorance is not much of a defence in the same way that if you buy a stolen car and tell them you didn't know they will still re posess it!

Personally as I said I would rather take the 3 points than risk it.

to each their own though...

I thought it was like radar detectors now;

It's the only prisonable offence left on the statute books.
