A bit of fun for the weekend
It does remind me of a swing...
The car now has fuel cut off switches and a fire extinguisher installed. The roll cage and a few other bits are being fitted this week.
Our next track day is 16 June at Oulton Park.
I doubt I will be racing in the NW BARC at Oulton on 20 June and indeed in any other NWBARC races. The price per race is too much -

Update
We took the car out at Oulton yesterday for the first time since installing the rollcage, new seat and bracket, new seatbelt, fire extinguisher and killswitch and after removing the sunroof cassette, sound deadening and some other bits and pieces. We also had the pads changed from the useless Yellowstuff pads (lasted 2 trackdays) to Pagid RS29's.
Pics of the car are below.
The car is running really really well - certainly faster. We are now entering Island Bend in 4th as we are hitting the limiter in 3rd. We also weighed the car at the weigh station - 1140kgs with a full tank of petrol, so probably 1100kg without petrol. Doing a bit of research is appears we can lose another 50-100kgs dependent on how far we are prepared to go.
Another positive - we got one of the MSV employees who is also a scrutineer to look over the car. The only thing we need to do according to him is to secure the battery and paint the towing eyes a different colour to the car.
Next outing is this Saturday at Elvington airfield.
I have to mention that the trackday was probably the best one I have attended. It was run by circuit days. The standard of driving was very high and very courteous. Very impressed and I would recommend booking trackdays with these. The owner of Circuit Days also goes out in a track prepped E36M3 - although on this occasion appeared to be taking it steady.
We both said the next mod is to get more driver training. I've historically had esentially a full days tuition at Oulton but had forgotten the lines through the two chicanes especially Britten's.
