The current diesel Civic is no slouch, I was quite surprised when I had one as a loan car, looked down at the speedo a few times and thought it must be reading wrong.
Thinks its 140bhp, i had a Type S when my S was in for a service and its felt much quicker than everyday car, a Passat 2.0TDi 140. Guess the Passat will be heavier but the turbo kicks in quite suddenly and the Civic seems more progressive which was better to drive.

They have already got the 135 with the 3.0 twin turbo petrol in the 1 series so i wouldnt be suprised if there was a 135 diesel at some point!

Indeed. The car will be doubtless be a pig to drive, but the numbers will impress those who are impressed by numbers, but don't know what they mean..

OK, it's no Honda petrol or BMW six, but it's a fair achievement.
BMW six!

Even though you hate the people that drive them

I like their V8 too! I really think the 840 was overlooked.

Not hate; merely despair, mostly!

Yes indeed. The EK4 is a brilliant Q-car because of that, particularly. Although a lot of Wurst-suckers feel the need to tailgate it assuming you are gonna drive like a granny, until you learn 'em! But that tends to be true whatever you're in.

And no-one knows WTF the Prelude is, except for Prelude-admirers. A mate of mine suggested I de-badge it, to add to the confusion even further.

It's often a very useful feature, hiding one's light under a bushel.
