I don't know about values, but if you want a quick sale, you need to give it a matt black and primer paint job, cut a few coils off the springs, and fit odd wheels on each axle. It seems to be THE look for that model.

Nice to see an unmolested one for once.

Thought the Box was an investment?

Always wondered whether they would do well.

It was...and it did.

I don't own a single thing I won't sell at the right price. Cars would be one of the first things.

I'm enjoying clearing space and preparing for a refresh.

any particular cars planned?

i find myself on pistonheads search many times a week and the only conclusion i can draw is Caterham type things or Lotus type things. Whether this is a knee jerk reaction to my perceived failings of the M, i.e. weight and crap throttle response, i'm not sure.

the latter frustrates me given it's NA

Have your throttle actuators been replaced yet? Maybe this is what's causing you the trouble?

no, only done 33k

my issue is probably driving it back to back with the S. A caterfield made it even more stark.

the engine is a peach but initial response is dull

been pondering evolve

I have to sort the daily first and that takes me back to the GTR/XFR I was thinking about. However, the more I think about it, the more I lean towards a fast estate.

As for outright fun, a bit too early to say. I don't like garage queens and I'm happy selling into a toppy market but far from convinced about buying into one. I'm also not sure I could live with something really raw, even for the occasional run out.

I think it's best to clear the decks and then see. I'll be in a new property hopefully in six months so that will also have a bearing.

I think starting at 3k is right, maybe a quarter more. If it's got no rust and as honest as you say, sit tight and you'll get a sale on this one fairly quickly.

Ever thought of a V70 R?

I hadn't considered one Tony but only because they are totally off my radar. Do you have any experience of them?

IIRC, Traffic Plod used to use them as their motorway luggers. The old man had a saloon version and yes, they're quick. Nicely understated, if that's your thing.

The older T5 was a rocketship too ...
