I saw a new RS6 this week.

That's brave. Or should i say stupid as once out of warranty its worth peanuts

Looked like what it is, a supercarestatecar

I suppose if you're minted and have dogs why not. Otherwise.. Well my earlier assessment is accurate from my perspective. Anything that heavy...

What's the suspension like on those things?

Since the standard cars are usually harsh, I'd imagine an S6 would be painful and an RS would collapse vertebra.

And make the dog sick.

And break its stupid wheels on every single pothole...

The s4 is very compliant tbh and as a daily cruiser, this has been fab.

Nordschleife and back was a breeze. The s is far better than the RS IMO as everything is more affordable, discs, pads etc. And warranty! I've just renewed and that was sub 600.

Now don't even mention the discs on my rs4. A grand anyone?

Is that a fitted price including VAT? If so it's probably a £300 DIY job and brakes are rarely a difficult job.

Nope. Just the discs self fitted.

If you shop around now, OEMs can be about 800ish.

Pads and discs on 4 corners is over 2000, diy.

the RS6 is only £1k for discs, sub £200 for pads but i think the issue with the RS4 is no aftermarket? (i'm sure we've had this discussion before)

My M is about £500 for front discs, sub £400 for rears (for both, not each). It's the combination of power and weight of these phat pukkas that is the issue. which is why a GTR is incredibly expensive to run.

ironically that weight also dulls the driving experience to the point i just don't get "it". people cracking one off about what a great drivers car an RS4/M3/RS6/M4 is are deluded, it's a fast barge with a nod to the driver at best.
