Brough Superior
Remember you asked

It started fine in the morning, water absolutely pored off her as the snow melted, then it got interesting to say the least. We had to be ferried to the wedding venue in a land rover punching through drifts. I was up for having a go in the Brough but was over ruled by the ladies, I don't think they understand how ideal a pre war car is for snow. Here is proof
The wedding went ahead fine, then in the late afternoon another blizzard came and we got snowed in spending the night on the floor. Eventually the day after got back to the car and she was in a real sorry state, snow inside no water in the radiator I was sure I'd cracked the block it was really really cold. Next day we got all the modern cars off but the Brough had to stay another night.
In the morning, with a charged battery, water added, plugs cleaned held my breath and she started with a fair bit off water vapor out the exhaust, even more convinced the head had gone. Set off for home, no charging or indicators and having to drive on the handbrake to keep the revs up to stop her from stalling, Made it the 40 miles home she started charging half way and I stopped to fix the indicators.
She has been fine since never did find out where all that water went.

That is a question I was often asked and had no idea. A couple of years ago the Brough Family Organisation in the USA got in touch and asked if they could trace my family tree. they found out I was George Brough ( the builder of Brough Superior "The Rolls Royce of Motorbikes" and the Cars ) was my 6th cousin 3 times removed. No idea what it means but it's good enough for me
Ray, not planning on going into production are you? If you are interested I could bring it to one of your famous meets once the weather gets better.
