Default CAT D - E90 M3

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1730422.htm

At 18 months old, seemingly registered CAT D over 12 months ago, so call it 6 months old at the time, would be interesting to see how much damage was seen as 'uneconomical repair' on a 6 month old £50k motor.....not another service 'test/check drive' that went horribly wrong!!!

cheap speed though!

For that sort of money you would expect to see a fully documented repair record with pictures and a list of all of the parts used.

Cheap as chips if you are strapped for cash

True, if it's not bent.

Quick KSD/Geo would tell you if it's straight enough.

Tidy inside & out? Driver's area's a pigsty. Probably a secondhand seat.

A £10K saving over a minter

I don't think that's very tempting

Overly heavy, over complicated and possibly weakened somewhere important.

I'll spend the money it would cost to buy and convert this on something built for the job thanks.

Horses for courses though. I agree with you Mark, but variety is the spice of life. There's plenty of track prepped E46 M3's out there.
