Has anyone gone from an S2000 to a VX220 Turbo ? Are they too impractical for everyday usuage ? Would running costs be comparable ?

Ta,
Chris

bigfecker, dws2000 and tede have all made this move relatively recently (last few months).

I know bigfecker and dws2000 posted compare-and-contrast threads. Try a search using the box at the bottom of this forum and see what it turns up.

Why have you decided not to go for it? Besides a slightly smaller boot, and a manual roof, I have no downsides to driving the 111R, and massive advantages in acceleration and handling. Can't see why the VXT would be any different in those respects.

Handling I agree but acceleration is the Lotus a lot quicker than an s2000 then ?

VX220 Turbo is a quoted 4.7s 0-60mph, the Lotus 111R a quoted 5.2s 0-60mph. On paper quicker. (taken from Top Gear Magazine)

the lotus feels a lot quicker though.. i think you're lower and it's a lot more raw.. the vx220's are fast but lose the advantage at higher speeds due to limited power... they're not as quick as they should be imho
