Wasn't he 4th or 5th and going strong at that point? So quite a lot to lose.

I think Alonso has shown just what he can do under pressure, and think he's going to do it. Let's face it he only has to finish ahead of Schumi in the next two races, and has a more capable team mate to use as backup than Schumi does.

Alonso looked very very angry on the podium and if his pace at the end of the race is anything to go by, then that is a good thing!

The race weekend just reinforced the absolute brilliance of MS to me. Running Bridgestone tyres and coming 6 in quali was amazing when everyone had written them off and being the only one running those tyres even making the top 10. Race start and he managed to keep up with Rubens and Button was another. To win the race on compromised tyres was another one. That man is simply amazing.

I am really looking forward to the last two races. It should be a good one. Honda still have problems because their quali times were once again not reflective of race pace in the trying conditions. Let's see what happens.

I thought he looked distinctly average when compared to Alonso today. 2 seconds a lap is a lot, especially when they were both on dries.

I'll bet you Alonso doesn't win 8 championships before he retires and it'll be a miracle if he stops MS doing it (he'll need a pit crew that can put on wheel nuts properly for a start)

maybe..

but when you are no where in the championship.. podiums are what people are shooting for, and the only chance he had for getting there was by making one.. very lucky pitstop..

Schumacher's title now

Huge pressure on Alonso and the team and I don't like their form in that area

And what are the odds on Alonso's engine letting go in the next race?

That's easy then. Maybe somebody should have told him he "only" had to finish ahead of Schumi today?
