ferrari and schumi were impressive today.. and if you were betting, the money looks safer on michael.

he was basically taking on 2 renaults on his own.. and still coming out well on top.

Sato is going to be a little unpopular
[QUOTE]Super Aguri driver Takuma Sato has been disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix for blocking faster cars during the closing stages.

Stewards threw the book at Sato, who has already been reprimanded earlier this season, after his obstructive driving on the final lap triggered a multi-car collision.

The Japanese driver has been stripped of his 14th-place finish.

Schumacher's title now
Disagree - as with Hungary, there were clear phases the Bridgestones and Michelins went through in this race.

Michelins were much faster in earlier wetter part of race, but as it dried, the Bridgestones had the advantage.

In the final stage with everyone on dry tyres, Alonso was flying, and I think he will be more than competitive enough in the last 2 races.

And what are the odds on Alonso's engine letting go in the next race?
I think Ferrari were the only engine failure of all the Renaults and Ferraris running this weekend, so I'll consider taking your odds

Hmm, I'm puzzled as to what brought that on. Which part of my post did you disagree with?

The FACT that Alonso performs very well under pressure?

The FACT that All he has to do is finish ahead of Schumi in the next two races to win the championship.

The FACT that Fisi is better than Massa?

I think it's safe to say that it was more the fault of the Renault team (i.e. the call to put new fronts on, and his wheel nut man making an arse of the wheel change). The Renault in the hands of Alonso looked blisteringly quick. Quicker I would add than Schumi has looked in his Ferrari all year.

If Alonso can carry that pace forward to Japan and Brazil with Fisi performing as he did today, then both titles are for the taking.

neither of us know what will happen.. it could be one back marker making a mistake that takes one of them off...and it's game over..

but today michael won a race he really should not have.. for me he is now in the box seat having the additional win.

in terms of pace.. well alonso was chasing.. in the world of conserving engines..wouldn't you expect him to be quicker car?

I don't share the admiration for Alonso's late pace I'm afraid

He had to go for it and it wasn't enough

As always, the winner did enough and no more, which often flatters the second

but the biggest problem in your scenario is the number of inherent 'ifs'

if he can repeat his supposed pace

if the team can avoid repeating their mistakes

if he hasn't pushed his engine too hard

and if MS screws up

and if the weather favours Michelins

and if the Ferrari team screw up

then yeah, Alonso should win

but there are two many ifs for this betting man

Who'd bet against Shumacher taking Alonso out of the GP in the final race if it came down to it ?

Good race all round actually - entertaining I particularly enjoyed the last 2 laps by Button - six to fourth in 2 laps

It's set up for a cracking final 2 races, I favour Schumacher as, lets be fair, when it comes down to it, if he has a points advantage and he and Alonso are close on the track there will be a 'racing incident'

Do you get the feeling that Kimi does give a toss about racing at the moment
