To claim or not to claim
At the weekend my wife managed to reverse into a stationary vehicle in a car park (yes I know!).

Personally if I had the money I think i'd pay for it to be done outside of insurance. Much easier on renewals etc and not having to mention the accident in the future.
I think it depends on your personal circumstances and whether it gives you problems to shell out

I would advise discussing this with your insurance company, they all act different. Some will only remove one years NCB for such a small claim. Your conversation is not recorded on the policy, it is only recorded when you claim so you are under no obligations and you have nothing to lose.
I would maybe go down the insurance route, thats what its there for, I would say it would reduce it by one years NCB on claims upto
