Colin McRae confirmed dead by a mate who also had a friend on board the helicopter, also dead.

He's a proper balls out racer who can go flat out in any 4-wheeled vehicle, and an asset to Scotland. I hope he wasn't involved.

WTF is it about Jock racers in Helicopters. I can still remember when Steve Hislop crashed.

Spoken to my Mum and Dad a little while ago - they live near the Jerviswood area. Local road near McRae's house has been closed off - sounds like there may have been a problem during take-off......but nothing confirmed, so might be wrong.

I hope that he and his son are ok - Colin and his brother used to come into the pub I worked at in Lanark. Everyone in the area was always very proud of both their successes...
