Default Comptech Supercharged NSX

I know is not a DC2 but we want to share this with you guys as its a special Honda

We are proud to announce we have successfully fitted the CTSC kit to one of our customer's cars.

Silver Surfer a member on the NSX Club Britain Forum asked if we could Charge his NSX back in December 2009. He came down to our workshop to discuss what his options were and we decided on the CTSC kit and placed the order straight away.

CT-engineering originally quoted us 4 weeks for the kits to arrive in the UK but due to delay's caused by the heavy snow world wide, it took a total of 8 weeks for the kit to arrive.

To cut the story short here is the whole process -

First we got the car up to check the overall condition, we performed a leakdown test, injectors checked, cleaned and general check up to make sure the engine was still in good condition to handle the extra power -

He also asked if we can get his clutch done at the same time with upgrade Jun lightweight flywheel -

Gearbox out -

old clutch -

new clutch - look OEM clutch is Twin Plate!!

Jun Flywheel in -

Mid pressure plate -

Done -

Alignment -

New setup -

Now the interesting bits -

The Kit -

First step - stripped all of the old wiring, vacuum and the intake manifold

Intake manifold -

Building up the supercharger -

New intake manifold and fuel rail in

Supercharge in -

New plugs -

New alternator and pulley bracket -

New belt in position -

New alternator -

Beautiful fit -

Now need to sort out the wiring -

New Fuel relay module and rewiring -

New piggy back pre programmed unit -

Sorting out some new wiring -

Done - car started first time with no leaks of fuel or any other problems -

New Fuel pump Walbro 255 to do this on a NSX you have to take the whole fuel tank out -

Result -

Comptech also have this charge kit available for S2000, please PM or email if interested we are now the official dealer for Comptech.

thanks

No "before" readings?

Fascinating thread, though!

The figures don't seem that high. What PSI was this?

(My Comptech charged S2000 made more power at 9.2psi).

This is only at 6psi, stock NSX is about 275-280bhp. This kit only give 80bhp more but alot more torque!

Whole thing took 3 days to fit.

S2000 comptech kit is running 9psi so it will make more power for sure but if you put a smaller pulley on this NSX kit it will go straight up to 450bhp and remember this is not yet with Intercooler, we can add the cooler on this kit and it will be 37bhp more straight away.

No picture for the other nsx yet until we start to pull out the engine.

The nsx drive beautiful with the sc kit, I think this is the sort of power the nsx should have, 280bhp wasn't really enough.
