Default Considering FD2 CTR

Been talking to wife, if we have any more sproglings I may have to cave and get a 4 door. I'm looking at the new JDM CTR and thinking BOING!

Anyone driven one? Thoughts compared to S2k?

The one thing I'm interested in is that in Evo's review they said it was stiffer and more hardcore than a DC2, in which case it is not a family car

A couple of guys on the ATR forum are moving to them, I guess they are spiritual successors to the ATR and have raved about their test drives.

There's a thread of thoughts here

http://www.accordr.org/index.php?showtopic=9174&hl=fd2

But you'll need to register to read it I think

Ah, don't need a family car, just one that will transport more than one other person from time to time . We have a Skoda Octavia for family use.

DC5 ITR? Also quite hardcore for a semi sensible car!

To save you registering here's the main post from the ATR owner

[QUOTE="giger"]
I was given the opportunity to drive the first FD2 on the roads this weekend, I was really keen to get into one of these and was hugely looking forward to driving it and I am pleased to say it didn't disappoint. The guy took me out for a spin in it first and the power and grip it has is awesome. I seriously don

The FD2 looks like a cracker of a car.

My main issue - FWD...

The DC5 was probably the least FWD like car in terms of feeling, that I have driven but it still wouldnt grip / handle like the S and I felt a bit inhibited by it on the Ring.

The game has moved on though, and I have some best Motoring vids of the FD2 kicking some butts. Looks impressive.

Litchfields will have one in to try - but id pay close attention to the FWD to see if you like it.

mzm 200bhp cars I'm told but I haven't investigated much at all.

Mark, I agree on the FWD front it's never going to be like the S but I wonder if I really need it to be in all honesty as I'm not a track junkie.
For the money it seems like a right cracker and I could probably flog my S2k for the money to buy one of these guys.

For the time being the S2k stays as I have no need for 2 cars with a boot but if Jan gets pregnant again I'll be buying one.

One question on importing, on price negotiation, is it basically "you pays what it says on the car?"

They have that wonderful JDM-bonkersness about them.

Probably very similar to the DC5; too hardcore for the yUK's crap roads.

I wouldn't mind a go, though!

Apparently the New Accord 'sets new standards in handling...etc'. Tourer concept is unveiled at IAA on 11/9/07.
