Default Cracked screen - and growing

A crack has appeared at the bottom of the front screen on the Evo.

It was about 1cm a few days ago, and is not about 8cm

I have to go away for a bit so can't get it fixed right now.

Will it continue to grow if the car is sat idle?

I might sheet the inside in case it decides to collapse!

Since it's bonded in, it'll go nowhere.

Tiny stone chip, or overly-hard suspension?

Looks like a tiny stone chip but can't be sure Nick. Suspension is bloody hard (although it's the standard Evo 9 GT setup) has that been known to cause such things?

I went over a pot hole a week or so ago and felt like the wheel was going to come off so maybe that set it off.

Unless the Doris was driving it when it happened...

It was a common occurence years ago due to shell flex (the 'Sud had a bonded-in screen and the Allegro's rear one could pop out onto the road!) but I don't know of a specific Evo issue.

All I know is that I've seen cracks in the X1/9's and the S2000 and a Sprinter appear subsequent to a bump, although the screen was in each case compromised be a stone chip first.

The crack will most likely have propagated from a stone chip. Whilst a hard whack to the suspension might cause a crack to grow you'd need a propagation point to start one off an you won't have that unless the screen or installation is faulty.

Even if the crack grows right across the screen (which i may continue to do whilst stationary if the temperatures change significantly) it won't fall into the car as nick says.
