DC2
I posted a couple of weeks back about an Elise as a track / second car.
Thinking about it I reckon a DC2 would better suit my needs, (ie the very occasional but essential need for a practical second car).
It would primarily be used around Oulton and the like and for weekend jousts.
I know little about them but know that a few on here have owned them.
How would one stack upto about 3000 miles per year but fairly regular track use?
I'm asking because they are a bit long in the tooth and as a result they all seem to have 60k+ miles on them!
I am however tempted!!

Do it. This is my plan for next year. I had a DC2 as my daily drive for 2.5 years, tracked regularly. I was still tracking it at 108k when i sold it for the elise. The car never missed a beat. Did cook its standard pads on track tho, I went for red stuff and DOT5. think braided hoses will help reduce fade too. All in all tho, an excellent package 'out of the box'.
Very easy car to drive fast and enjoy. I am far from a driving god, byut that car is very rewarding and can make average joe feel very pleased with himself after a good track session.

Do some research:
Stuff
The car is essentially an EG/EK Civic in a coupe body with Accord hubs.
Rear arch tinworm, trailing arm bushes apart, it is probably the best car in the world for fun/reliability/low running costs/useability balance and 60,000 miles is far call, if our EK4 is anything to go by.
