DC5
Getting close to 'buying time' for me, been trying out a lot of cars recently (350z, rx8, golf, smart brabus roadster, s2000, TT etc)...was kinda settled on the S, but the niggling practicality is getting to me so I thought I'd look at a DC5.
Anyone owned/owns one? Know a good site to look into it? Running costs/servicing etc, the usual lark
Would hunt it down myself but this has OC forum has been a goldmine of information on all kinds of cars so far, will definitely be paying up and coming to some meets even if I do go for the dc5 (housemate has a DC2 as well
)
Cheers :>

this topic has been raised a few times before and the general opinion is that the DC5 is a quality piece of kit.
it's cooler than the CTR which is now a far too common car on the roads (albeit still a really good car too). the DC5 also had brembos, lsd and a wee bit more power iirc than the CTR.
as to buying one over the S it all comes down to what you want from your next car. and if practicality is an issue for you then you're probably best to go with the DC5. it obviously offers space for more than one passenger, a bigger boot and FWD for easier / less involving (delete as applicable) handling.
here's a couple of forums for more info incase you haven't seen them:

the main thing people complain of with the DC5 is the sweet-handling and purer DC2!
Might possibly replace the Civic with one, having said that. I believe the new CTR may be even more retrograde than the current one.
