Default dc5 vs s2000

Hi guys

thinking of swapping my dc5 for a s2k, few guys are looking to swap for a dc5 so mite just go a head. any of you guys had a dc5 itch or had one before?

love my dc5 as a daily but not so sure the s2k will fill its roll, especially with all this winter weather as of late.

Its not a dc5 but i had a jdm dc2 before my first s2k and as a daily the dc2 wins all most every where, but as a weekend car or occasional blast the s2k is better than the dc2 so in conclusion teg has, 4 seats, bigger boot, can be driven harder in poor weather conditions and if you have a bump bits are a bit cheaper to fix. S2k has top down fun, looks better, more powwwwwer, 9k rpm and it means you don't have the space to take your mates down to the pub.

I've had a DC2 and a DC5.

I really didn't like the DC5 but the engine was very nice. Handling not so nice.

S2000 is more of an event, but DC5 is very practical.

I do like DC5's alot. Around the time I got my S2000, the choice was that vs a white DC5 and I very nearly bought the DC5.

The roof down VTEC action swayed it for me. As MB says, it really is an event every time you push that start button and get the roof down.

dc5s come with a start button hehe

something that im considering at the moment is the fact there are so many little niggles with the S2000, Cambelt tensioner, rear sub frame, geometry seizing all of which can turn really nasty and expensive to fix. Not really that kind of thing with the DC5 though........

also the soft top on the s2k can be expensive to replace

Booth cool cars, tough one! Sorry that doesn't help you at all

S2000 soft tops can be replaced for around £300 or less if you don't mind a trip to Walres by the way, so not expensive
