Unhappy Decided to add a 911 to the Garage

Business is good so I've decided to start looking for another addition to the garage (rather than piling more in to the S )
I like the idea of a fast reliable GT that doesn't have massive depreciation.
It is going to be a GT car, maybe the odd track day but unlikely.
Never had a porker and I like the look and sound of the "tuned" 911's
Reckoning on ~40K to buy something half decent
I would like to hear about running & service costs on those I've listed if any one can help.
I'm luck to have 3 good indie Porsche garages locally.
BTW the S is staying!

I'd go for the 993 Turbo because it is the last of the proper air-cooled 911s... but it depends what your want. In reality the more modern the version the more refined it will be for touring and the like, the 993 is going to be at least 15 years old now...

911 Virgin have a guards red example... 911 Virgin

996 turbo or GT2 Mikey.

996 GT3 just doesn't do it for me, and it's probably not an ideal road car.

The Turbo is very useable though.

GT2 is obviously a bit insane.

A good NSX, properly cared for and maintained is likely be near depreciation free.

Service / mantainance very similar to the S2000.

Insurance cheaper than the S2000 (30% cheaper when I switched!)

A 997C2S would be my choice. Not sure if you can get them for 40k though.

if the car is going to get any serious miles on it, you will struggle to avoid depreciation

As much as I like the idea of the NSX I'm not keen on the interior which is where most the "touring" time will be
Finding tidy ones is getting very hard, plus I'd end up modding it!
GT2 is not a tourer it is
996 turbo is a nice idea it's just fugly from the front, plus I read about rad failures having to remove the engine for a plug change?
996 GT3 comfort with different coilovers might be OK as a tourer?
I spotted the 911 virgins 993 turbo - ticks a lot of boxes plus I like the fact its air cooled and 4x4
997's in various guise seem to be well priced but that is because they are depreciating fast
Any comments on running costs?
I'm expecting ~5-6K miles a year tops.
