Thatcher's axe was the main reason behind the collapse or the De Lorean production line. She suffers from Dupuytren's contracture: a condition that progressively 'claws' the hand. I too have this and am currently at home after my 3rd operation to help alleviate the problem; can't drive and I am stuck at home BORED! My wife has just come back from the shops with this month's Classic and Sports Car (what a sweetie) and the first page it opens at is the article about the DMC-12.

My business partner's late father had Dupuytren's contracture - the medics here in the UK were not of much use. He went privately in Paris (much cheaper than one would think) for a procedure that isn't used here but is very successful. The French procedure is not so prone to the issues that result from the UK-preferred treatment.
