Default Jason Plato - BTCC

Just watching the BTCC and Jason Plato is at it again punting people off the road when they are better than him.

To make it worse, he then tries to justify it.

Basically, Matt Neal comes round the outside, is ahead, gets to the corner exit and then Plato drives into the rear quarter and spins him.

Plato said that it was my bit of road and if he starts an overtake on the grass, he should finish it on the grass.

I agree. Except that Neal wasn't on the grass and he was on his own bit of road that you rammed him off, then went onto the grass yourself, in order to punt him off.

Alan Gow needs to sort this out, bloody rediculous.

that incident spoiled the actual race really..

incredible that Neal didn't get tagged by any of the other 20 cars as he spun.. smart bit of driving to keep in straight on the edge of the track..

you would think Ben Edwards would tell the producer not to bother trying to do the in car radio thing at the end of the race.. he was never going to want to talk about the incident whilst he still was probably seething..

Yes but it's Matt Neal. His whole approach to racing is to overtake by knocking other cars off the track. I'd love to be a fly on the wall of the stewards' room when he complains about another driver.

What?! Plato is by far the worst! Besides, they need to get a handle on it because it just takes the professionalism away from the series.

Kobe - yeah, was obvious Matt Neal wouldn't respond!

but they both get at it... it's a bit like american wrestling, can't remember the year, but the last lap at Snetterton when Plato was in a Seat and Neal in an Integra made this last incident seem minor..

Did Neal honestly expect Jason to give him any opportunity to get ahead, a move like this in the busy first corner would always end in disaster for someone, still it and the pushing in the second race did turn out well for Gordon.
And, it is one the reasons the BTCC is loved by the spectators.
